The “Hop!” luggage invented by Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez, can follow you around by tracking your smartphone through Bluetooth. As you walk around the airport or anywhere, the Hop! uses its motor and tank-like tracks to follow it’s owner. You’ll never again need to lug around your heavy luggage.

2. Vacuum Luggage

As a way to help travelers to fit more stuff in their luggage, designers Yejee Lee, Jongchan Mun, Seobin Oh and Woneui Hong created the Pumpack. Pumpack is a suitcase with a handle that doubles as a pump, which sucks out air, compressing your clothes inside and allowing for travelers to pack more.

3. Smartphone Trackable Luggage

With about 26 million checked in bags lost each year, inventors have created a new suitcase called “Smart Luggage” to allow users to know where their luggage is. The luggage has a built in GPS sensor to track its location. When the bag arrives at it’s destination, it can even send you a text alert informing you that it has arrived in the right airport safely.

4. Suitcase That Charges Your Gadgets

This hardshell suitcase generates electricity to charge your gadgets by rolling. When spinning the wheels on the luggage, you can generate electricity which is stored in a battery in the suitcase. When needed, you can then plug your smartphone or tablet in to the luggage battery to recharge.

5. Luggage That Can Climb Stairs

The “Climbing UP” suitcase has tank-like tracks that run across the entire suitcase. The tracks help the suitcase to climb up stairs and other obstacles. Since there is no added motor, the tracks barely add more weight to the suitcase. This suitcase is still a concept, but hopefully in the next few years we’ll see this being used by travelers everywhere.
