Oliberté Broka Wallet Review

I’m the type of person who loses stuff.

It’s definitely not pathological and I’d consider myself quite organized, however one thing I’ve noticed is that if I don’t have proper accessories to organize my things (NYC MetroCard in particular) they’ll soon be lost.

With that in mind, I set out to get a wallet. During my search I had a few of criterion: (1) the wallet had to be slim (2) it had space for bills and some cards (3) and it had to be easy to access the cards/cash.

I ended up with the Oliberté Broka Wallet, minimal, simplistic and easy to use wallet that only cost me $16. Here are my thoughts on the wallet (I’ve tested the rustic brown color):

Pros:

When I first held the wallet, I was surprised to discover that one side of bill compartment was unstitched. At first I thought that might be an issue and the bills could fall out, but after using the wallet for a bit, I’ve noticed that the unstitched side is actually a great idea. It makes it much easier to choose the exact denomination you need and allows you to easily access the bills.

After looking through several other wallets, I decided on getting the Oliberté Broka wallet because of it’s simplicity and slimness. While most wallets when closed are shaped like rectangles, the Oliberté wallet is a square.

Some subtle details on the Broka are the notched corner, which makes the wallet easier to open and the subtle semicircular cutouts on the card pockets, which allow you to push cards out of the slots from beneath, making it easier to remove them.

Cons:

The Verdict:

For it’s retail price of $20, the Oliberté Broka wallet is a steal. The Broka wallet has a stylish and slim design, keeping your money and cards organized.

Oliberté also sells another wallet, the Flota, which is a trifold.
