If you guessed Cat Footwear makes work boots, you’re right, they do, but Cat Footwear does a lot more than just that. Breaking into the fashion industry, Cat Footwear has come out with some stylish boots that stay true to Cat’s rugged ‘get stuff done’ వారసత్వం.

On the day when I took the subway to accompany my non-tech-savvy mom to the Apple Store in Grand Central Terminal, I decided to wear the Abe Canvas boots along with jeans. The outfit was easy, versatile and I was feeling razor sharp in that subway car. That’s all that matters, కుడి?

These boots look great right out the box. While they’re comfortable to wear, if you’re on your feet for long periods of time or doing a long walking tour, you may want to buy an insole or wear walking shoes instead. After walking 30 blocks in NYC and standing in a subway car for almost an hour, my feet were pretty sore. The soles of the Abe Canvas boots are a bit stiff at first and are not the most cushioned, although I’ve noticed that the more I’ve worn the boots, the more comfortable and ‘broken in’ they’ve become.

These boots aren’t waterproof, but if you wax the upper with Nikwax for leather, the boots will become water resistant and droplets will bead on contact. With the Nikwax, you’ll be okay stepping in shallow puddles, but if your boots are submerged, water will eventually seep in.
