Columbia Youth Baselayer Midweight Mock Neck Long Sleeve Review
The Columbia Youth Baselayer Midweight Mock Neck is a warm baselayer that isn’t too heavy or too light. I usually wear it under a t-shirt when it’s cooler outside. It is basically the same as the adults’ version of the shirt, except a bit cheaper. I can fit youth large, though I am 5 கால் 6 அங்குல.
I wear the baselayer really often, because it is so versatile. When it’s cold out I can just wear it alone with a jacket, or even by itself.
The baselayer also features Omni-Heat technology. There’s something about those sliver Omni-Heat dots. I just feel warmer with the Omni-Heat thing; it might be a placebo, because I have no idea how silver dots can keep you warm.
The baselayer is made of polyester and elastane. I have no idea what elastane is, but it is comfortable. The material is stretchy and non-restraining.

Washing the baselayer by hand is really easy, and it dries pretty quickly (faster than cotton). The shirt is also moisture wicking, and breathable. I really like the mock neck thing, because it actually makes a little difference by keeping cold air from getting to my body. The shirt fits really well for me, because it isn’t too tight, yet it isn’t too loose.
When folded up, the Columbia youth baselayer doesn’t take up too much space, which has been really helpful since I am traveling long term.

The retail price is $40. I really don’t have anything bad to say about the shirt. Maybe it is a bit pricey, but that’s about it. It is definitely worth the money. I’m traveling around South America currently, and it has been pretty chilly out lately, so I’ve been wearing this shirt extremely often. You can find it on the Amazon.com.
