Whether you are going on a cruise to the Caribbean, road-tripping on Highway 1 in California, surfing in Jersey Shore, or just going to the beach, a pair of sunglasses is an essential accessory.
ದಿ Sanitas sunglasses from Native Eyewear are a great lifestyle pair for anything from traveling to hiking to sightseeing.
To test the Sanitas, I wore them while going on the Long Island Interstate to the Hudson Valley. I also wore them while hiking in Bear Mountain State Park on a sunny spring day. I even dropped them just to test the durability while sitting on one of the boulders overlooking mountains, lakes and the Manhattan skyline.
Here are my thoughts on the Native Eyewear sunglasses:
ಸಾಧಕ:
- ಹಗುರವಾದ
- ಬಾಳಿಕೆ ಬರುವ, flexible
- ಧ್ರುವೀಕರಿಸಿದ
- Good fit for my face
- Unisex – can be worn by anyone
- ಬಹುಮುಖ, be worn in any occasion – ದಿನ ಟ್ರಿಪ್ಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ, ಹೈಕಿಂಗ್, short runs, ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ.
- Includes hard case and microfiber cloth/pouch
- Lifetime warranty – if you break your pair “we’ll send [ನೀವು] a replacement pair for just $30, no questions asked” ಓದಲು fine print here

One of my favorite aspects of the sunglasses is that they’re lightweight. You can put these sunglasses on and forget they’re there.
Native Eyewear Sanitas Sunglasses use N3 polarized lens technology, which according to the specs will block up to 4X more infrared light than regular polarized lenses. I’ve been using polarized sunglasses for about 4 ಈಗ ವರ್ಷಗಳ, and since then, there’s been no turning back. Sunglasses with polarized lenses reduce glare, and make everything clearer. Polarization is especially helpful when looking at bodies of water.
I also have a pair of Oakley 20 ಸನ್ಗ್ಲಾಸ್ (which I believe are no longer sold) ಮತ್ತು ಒಂದು ಜೋಡಿ SunGod Classics, which I’ve been able to compare with the Natives.
In addition to being scientifically proven to make you look more attractive, sunglasses are super important for protecting your eyes. According to the American Optometric Association, long term exposure to sunlight and UV rays can harm the eyes and increase the risk of pterygium or cataracts. Over-exposure to sunlight will cause a painful burn to the surface of the eye similar to sunburn on the skin. The organization also added that reflected sunlight from snow, sand, concrete and water is dangerous.

ಫಿಟ್:
It’s always a bit of a challenge to buy sunglasses on the internet. It’s hard to tell if the sunglasses will fit your face, and it can be hard to tell how it’ll look on you. I have an oval shaped face and I’ve felt the Native Eyewear Sanitas fit my face perfectly. They stay in place even when I’m hiking without feeling tight or uncomfortable.
On the Sanitas product page, the glasses are said to fit a medium to large fit profile.
ಕಾನ್ಸ್:
I haven’t come across any major issues with the Sanitas, but I’ll update this review if I do. One thing to consider before getting these glasses is how they’ll fit on your face. For me they fit just right, but everyone’s different.
ವರ್ಡಿಕ್ಟ್:
When choosing a pair of sunglasses, ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, lens quality and looks are important aspects to consider. ನನಗೆ, the Sanitas sunglasses fit the bill as versatile everyday-wear sunglasses. The Native Eyewear Sanitas protect your eyes comfortably and in style. They are well suited for adventure travelers, vacationers and sightseers.
The Sanitas come in 5 colors and designs: Asphalt and Grey Lens (the ones I’ve tested), Crimson and Brown Lens, Driftwood with Blue Reflex Lens, Desert Tort with Green Reflex Lens, and Wood with Bronze Reflex Lens. The model I tested, costs retail $129, which is in the middle of the price range for polarized sunglasses.

After buying only Bolle and Ray Ban for years, bought these supposedly fabulous sunglasses for $179 just 14 months ago (note, just 2 months outside of their “one year warranty” period) – Loved them initially, but after only 14 ತಿಂಗಳ,, they are the lousiest sunglasses I’ve ever owned – the lens just fell out one day while I was driving! You should be aware that they don’t stand behind their product (ಇದು, if it was as good as they claim, they should be able to afford to do!), without charging $30 bucks for YOU to pay to send them back to the company so THEY can assess whether they will repair them or not. Going back to my old and much better brands. Don’t buy these!
Hi L.S. – sorry to hear that! Have you tried the $30 repair option? I’d love to know how Native handles that.
