Mosiso Laptop Sleeve Review: A pretty MacBook Pro sleeve

My four year old 15-inch MacBook Pro has gone through a few challenging situations.

One of which was when I fell down a flight of stairs in an apartment in Montevideo Uruguay, from the ninth floor to the eighth floor. It was a pretty intense and dangerous moment.

The MacBook Pro suffered a dent on the side and I survived without any broken bones. It was all because of the Motherlode backpack functioning as a cushion as I fell backwards with the MacBook Pro on my side, inside the Timbuktu messenger bag.

I’ve never used a MacBook Pro sleeve for travels or to the coffee shops. Have you?

I guess if I had a laptop sleeve, the MacBook Pro might still be in perfect condition.

In this review, I share with you my thoughts on the Chevron-style white and light blue Mosiso laptop sleeve from the perspective of one who has never used a laptop sleeve:

Pros

• Fits the 15-inch MacBook Pro with extra room for a notebook and a magazine
• Has outer pockets that fits a 5.2 x 0.8 x 8 inches Frommer’s travel guidebook
• Has a functioning good quality zipper
• Fluffy fleece fabric lining inside gives a layer of cushion that protects and prevents laptop from scratches
• Weighs only 14 oz
• Reasonably priced at $22.99

Cons:

• Can’t slip inside my Timbuktu messenger bag
• Don’t fancy the patterns or the handles
• Can’t fit in the laptop compartment of the Victorinox Spectra 2.0 22 –inch carry-on bag
• Will not prevent my laptop from being dented if dropped from 10 feet

The Mosiso laptop sleeve eliminates the worry of getting my laptop from getting bumped or scratched. But the downside is the size. Measuring at 16.3 X 0.8 x 11.8 inches, I would prefer a laptop sleeve that is tight and snug. And especially one that is water resistant and fits inside a big tote bag and the Victorinox carry-on laptop compartment.

The Verdict:

The Mosiso laptop sleeve is also known as a laptop briefcase and handbag. It is for you if you like to carry the Mosiso laptop sleeve like a handbag since it comes with durable handles. It is great for someone who is looking for an affordable good quality laptop sleeve that did what it said it would do – gives extra protection in case of falls and prevents the laptop from scratches. It won’t work for you if you looking for simple, sleek and minimalist look.
