aLLreLi Portable USB Wall Charger Review

Recently I’ve reviewed the Belkin 3-Outlet Mini Travel Charger, which is a great accessory for any tech savvy traveler, so when I was approached by aLLreLi to review their Dual USB Travel Charger Kit I jumped on the opportunity.

The charging kit is basically like a USB wall charger that comes with your phone, except with two USB outputs and with interchangeable prongs.

Pros:

• Includes interchangeable plugs to fit wall sockets when traveling
• Portable
• Charge two USB devices at once
• LCD display shows voltage being outputted
• Inexpensive, about $16 on amazon.com

The charger is pretty convenient and has completely replaced my default Apple wall charger. I like how it can charge two devices at once, allowing my iPhone and Sol Republic Shadow wireless bluetooth earbuds to charge simultaneously, without occupying several outlets.

With the included plugs, the charger can help travelers with recharging their devices in countries with different styled prongs. The prongs are for the UK, EU, US, AU, and most Asian countries.

Cons:

• No wall style socket
• Could be a bit more compact

Although the Dual USB Travel Charger Kit has some great features, I’d really like if it had some wall style sockets as well as USB sockets. The Belkin Travel Mini Charger has 3 wall sockets as well as two USB sockets, while the allreli only can charge devices which use USB.

Another minor point is that the LCD display isn’t the most useful, as I usually don’t need to see the voltage output when I’m charging my phone.

The Verdict:

Overall, the aLLreLi Dual USB Travel Charger Kit is a useful travel gadget for international travelers or anyone who wants to upgrade on their default wall charger. With two USB sockets, the charger will free up outlets and allow you to charge more devices at once.
