Great post! I remember Trans World Airlines actually, used to be a big player. These would be perfect for any travel lover’s basement or something like that, they just don’t make them like they used to, or if at all, I can’t remember the last time I actually saw a travel poster.
Super thanks); nice collection
hi i saw your vintage travel poster very well. And i have something question..
i want to print it on my tee shirts and sell for my customer then..
how do i pay for this?..
or if i can’t do selling something to other, please tell me!
Hi Won,
Thanks for commenting! I don’t own the rights to the images of the vintage travel posters, so I think it would be best if you contacted the illustrators directly to see if you’d be able to make t-shirts with the vintage designs.
Thank you my answer 🙂
No problem, glad I could help!
Hi, great collection. Do you have a link for the poster that shows up in the pin? The grey national parks poster with the little camper?
Hi Robin! I’m not sure which pin you’re referring to, I think I must have forgotten to include it in this post.
Is this the pin?:
I don’t own the rights to the photo, just comiled this list of posters, but I’ve found where you can get this poster on Amazon.com. Here is the link.
HI! My friend, Fred Learey designed number 33 of London. You can check out his website here: http://www.fredlearey.com/
Thanks!
Hi Sarah! Thanks for sharing – I just attributed and added a link to his site on the pic.
I didn’t realize I hadn’t given him attribution earlier.
I really love those vintage posters!
?
Excellent job! Do you know the size of the posters? Thanks!
Hi Joao,
Thanks! The sizes of the posters vary, so I can’t say exactly how large each is.
Hi Jonathan!
I am searching for the South African Railways Cape Town poster that says “Cape Town for health and beauty … South Africa’s pleasure ground. I saw it on Pinterest and it links to this post but I can’t seem to find it. Please let me know if you know where I can buy. Love this post by the way! Thank you!!
Hi Sophie! Hmm, I think I forgot to put that pic in the post.
I think that picture was of an original poster which is several decades old (I’m not an expert), and I’m not sure if they sell replicas. I couldn’t find anything online. I think your best bet would be to see the other South Africa posters on AllPosters: http://www.allposters.com/gallery.asp?startat=%2Fgetthumb.asp&CategoryID=50028&txtSearch=south+africa. They don’t have the exact same one, but there are a bunch of similar ones. Hope that helps!
What a lovely collection. travelpostersonline.com sell an extensive range of travel posters and they are excellent quality and value. I have quite a few from them.
Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for this great collection, I pinned several of them before realizing they were all from this page.
I’d love to buy the lake como poster with the red text and car in the foreground but can’t find it in the post – do you know where I can buy it? Thanks so much!
Very nice post, thank you !
As a french woman, I only wish there was a little more about other cities than Paris, so here are some places where you can find posters of other cities and monuments :
